面对近两万平方米的大型公建与原生态自然环境之间的矛盾，设计提出一个根本追问：剧场能否就是绿道本身？
由此，设计就是场地中的一条路径——一条蜿蜒的路径串联三个地块与周边绿道环境，路径在每个地块微微翘起，形成三座起伏的地景，剧场功能便藏于其中。
设计尽可能保留场地原有的路径、水塘与农田肌理，以“如其所是”的姿态轻触土地，从卫星图看去，建筑形成了一个大地景观。它好像一直在那儿，是绿道的一部分，也恰好是几个剧场而已。
三座小丘的形态灵感来自成都人民公园的日常图景——竹林下、廊道旁、坝坝间，市民喝茶打牌，呈现一种半室内外、平坦透气、人与景观互动的竹下生活。设计刻意避免严丝合缝的几何，让形态带些松弛与散漫，取消功能预设，允许个体按各自逻辑适意呈现，从而产生多样性与自由。
起伏的建筑屋顶成为天然的观众席，树林成为幕布，草坪成为舞台，整个绿道环境成为一个超尺度的“森林剧场”。音乐节、大地艺术祭、坝坝宴，乃至日常静坐，皆可在此发生。绿道与城市，化为一场自然的演出。
Greenway Performing Arts Center

Chengdu's "Jincheng Greenway" spans over 200 kilometers—the world's longest greenway system under construction, forming a complete loop along the Fourth Ring Road. The performing arts center sits at the greenway's northwestern edge, comprising three separate rectangular plots hidden within a well-preserved forest.
Facing the tension between a large public building and pristine nature, the design asks: can the theater simply be the greenway itself?
The design becomes a path through the site—a winding route connecting the three plots to the surrounding greenway. At each plot, the path gently rises into three undulating landforms, with theater functions tucked beneath.
We preserved the site's original paths, ponds, and farmland texture, touching the land lightly. From satellite view, the buildings read as a landscape—as if it has always been there, part of the greenway that happens to contain theaters.
The three mounds draw from Chengdu's civic Park—bamboo groves, verandas, open spaces where citizens gather. The forms are deliberately loose and informal, avoiding rigid geometry to allow diversity and freedom.
The undulating roofs become natural seating, the forest a backdrop, the lawn a stage—the entire greenway transforms into a "forest theater." Music festivals, art events, gatherings, or quiet contemplation can all take place here. The greenway and the city become a living performance.
